Bristles are not attached well

Needs some work where bristles meet handle, I usually like OXO products but was disappointed

bristles in my food

I used to brush melted butter onto phyllo dough and in the bristles started coming out little by little, and then in huge chunks. completely ruined my food. You know how hard it is to remove light colored bristles off of buttered phyllo dough? I had to throw it out.

Useful shape but sheds more than my cat

I like the design of this, Keeps the counter a bit cleaner when using it, however i use it to paint canola oil onto my bamboo steamer baskets and it leaves hairs all over them. At first i thought it was getting ripped out, but as i paint perpendicular to the latticework, i can see bristles getting left behind. I'd expect this out of a well used brush, but i've only used it twice. I'm switching to the silicone bristles.

Nice pastry brush

I used this brush for my pie crusts and it works great! It is easy to clean and does not leave hairs on the pie.

No. It's not dishwasher safe.

I kind of like this brush in spite of my recent experience, and have ordered another. However. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER. I've used it several times and hand washed it each time. Last night I used it for an egg wash and was kinda lazy and tossed it in the dishwasher. What came out didn't even resemble a brush anymore. Some sort of gooey, slimy mass with bristles falling out. I like OXO products, but wish they had labeled this properly. "Hand wash only."

Perfect for pastry cooking!

Definitely easy to hold and clean. Has been key to my puff pastries and pies. I haven’t had any bristles fray or break so far. Absolutely loving this brush!

Not a great product, stopped using it

I wouldn’t buy this again, terrible brush. I haven’t been able to use it once without all the natural bristles coming out all over everything I brush….does the same thing when I had wash it I have lots of OXO products and love them all except this one.
