Buyer beware of shipping container
Good strainer. Delivery was less than satisfactory. Delivered in a plastic bag. Mesh was bent out of shape. I was able to press out the dents to an acceptable shape. I was considering sending back. Buyer beware. A simple small box would have prevented this.

This was the perfect size for straining cocktails. Other ones I bought were to fine to strain with. It’s also great for dusting pasties with powdered sugar. I plan to buy it in all the metal available.

The handles…
One the best sized strainers out there for professional bartending, but the handles tend to break off after heavy use.

Great strainer with one flaw
The strainer seems to be built well. I received it a little crunched up but straighten out the mesh with my fingers ( no big deal) I use it to double strain some of my drinks and one thing that is frustrating for me is after I use it I can’t let the strainer sit on my shaker because the handle is too heavy and it tips off. Little bummer since I just quickly want to go finish my drink of with a garnish. Obviously this isn’t the biggest deal but just wanted to throw it out there.

Best cocktail strainer on the market
I love you barfly! My strainer is absolutely PERFECT. I’ve been a professional bartender for 8+years and swear by this product. If your looking to add a tool to your bar at home or for work look no further and take it from a professional these are the first, last, and best quality tools you will get on the market for a fraction of the cost of other high-end tools. Plus barfly is a Mercer brand and anyone in the service industry knows it’s a brand you can trust when it come to great quality tools. I used to be strictly cocktail kingdom, but after my entire toolset was stollen I couldn’t stomach spending around $300 to $400 get all my tools back to par. I gave these guys a try and I couldn’t be happier, I’m never going back. Plus I get to buy all the gold ones I originally wanted to get from CK for half the price and the same quality while still havOmg plenty of money left over to get myself some extra goodies. This strainer is the PERFECT size, it seemed a little big at first but once you start using it you realize that all the other ones you’ve used where just to small. The quality is superb, it’s durable, feels great in hand, and i’m glad I took a chance on the gold one because I LOVE the golden color of this strainer, it’s so shiny and it doesn’t look like cheap gold at all, it just looks so so sexy when you pull this bad boy out and strain with it. Look no further. You’ve found what you where looking for when it comes to barfly.

Well made product
I bought this for making cocktails at home where straining when pouring from the shaker is advisable, but have also found another use for it. One of the problems in making good poached eggs is that if the egg is not more than a day or so old, it makes strings of albumen in the water. The cure is to strain the egg to remove the more watery albumen before dropping it in to the water. A tea strainer is no good because the mesh has to be large enough to take the full volume of the egg. This strainer does the job perfectly. And it strains cocktails well too.

perfect size for sieving coffee grounds from a cafetiere. Big enough to fit them in, but small enough not to make a mess when transferring drained ones into the food waste bin
