Works on all hair types
My hair is long and it not damaged by color or heat - it's just really long hair, which means its old and needs some extra conditioning and TLC. I don't even use this as a conditioner - i think that is a waste of what this product is capable of. Using it as a conditioner just rinses it out of your hair before you receive any of the benefits of what is in this product that needs to be left on your hair and scalp. I have thick long hair so I use two pumps after the shower just on my scalp - I work it in against my scalp and 2 pumps is sometimes too much - a little goes a long way. And then I put in 2-4 more pumps for the rest of my hair and I comb my hair and I often times will braid my wet hair and allow it to stay like that for a day (or two) and this works great with just 1 pump in your hair the next day and the day after until you wash again. Watch some curl girl videos on yt or read up on this for curly girls if you have girls. I have a wave to my hair and when I use this on my hair regularly i have spiral curls that I have never had before. Black castor oil is great for a dry itchy scalp, great for any real hair loss/damage. Shea butter is deeply conditioning and hydrating. Apple cider vinegar is also great for the scalp, great as a conditioner and shine boosting agent for your hair. The three work together best when you leave on your hair and scalp (not goops of it - use sparingly) for a few days or at least over night. I don't wash my hair every day - I have very long hair and wash it about every 3-4 days. I cut my hair three years ago after a lot of heat damage and I have since stopped using a flat iron and I do not blow out my hair - it is very healthy and I think this product makes my hair shine way more than going without it. And it's nice because everything in this product is natural - using the hair serums that make your hair shiny are great - and usually full of silicones. If you don't wash your hair every day and you use silicones for shine you will have build up that you can only get off by using sulfate shampoo - that I am allergic to... so I can't use certain products - and this is the best thing I have found to help my scalp, restore the over all health of my hair from the root, all the way down the shaft to the tip and it helps with frizz control, shine, and hydration. For the price of what you are getting I think this is an amazing deal. Also - if you don't already put some apple cider vinegar in your water as you drink it - you should. It's amazingly healthy and my skin is glowing and just add a little wedge of lemon and it's delicious - weird at first - but you start to crave and it's great for your gut health.

Best conditioner ever!
OK, the color is weird. BUT, the product is excellent! I have think, wavy, and rather dry (68 year old hair) and spend lots of time outside in sunny Florida. I’ve had problems finding a conditioner that allowed my hair to look good with 2-3x per week washing- until now. The SheaMoisture Conditioner 100% Pure Jamaican Black Castor Oil conditioner solved this problem! I can go a few days without the “bed head” look. Highly recommend.

Incredible stuff
I have never used a conditioner as wonderful as this. I don't have damage to my hair and I never use heating products. I use it for detangling my hair. It works like a dream and it smells fantastic for the whole time until you wash again. I actually love the fragrance. Overall this is the best conditioner I've ever used.

Great product but no slip
If you’re a curly girl like me then you’re always looking for that conditioner “slip” to help you de-tangle in the shower, this one isn’t very good for that, but their deep conditioner/hair masque is.

Works Well
One of the best conditioners I’ve ever used. My hair is left soft and detangled after use. I love the ingredients of this product. My hair was thinner and has gotten thicker over the years of using this product.

Has pros and cons. Good enough.
This product has pros and cons but benefits are overcoming minor disadvantages. It's winning by far with ingredients. It's hard to find anything without both Sodium Benzoate (Benzoic Acid) and Benzyl Benzoate which destroy my towels and aren't that good for hair either. The smell could be better but it does not linger so it's fine. It's not showing any amazing results, but it's good enough. Overall I am reviewing this after few months and will be buying another. TLDR: - pros: ingredients!, works ok - cons: smell (though it does not linger), packaging (need to get creative to get last 1/7th of the product out of the bottle as the pump does not gather it, but it's doable).

Remarkable improvement with time and patience
Truly amazing products, especially for curly hair (tried and tested on black coily Caribbean and white curly blonde). I love this Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen and Restore Shampoo (and Conditioner). My daughter did the hard work researching everything on market and finding something truly organic. The product description and reviews said this kit promotes hair growth, moisturises and reinvigorate the hair. And that’s very true. I am mixed black/white and USED to have very difficult hair - unmanageable coily/curly very dry /thin black hair. I have had to use hair conditioner after every wash to be able to comb with a very wide-tooth spaced brush. And every 2-3 months relaxer to keep them straight. And hot iron every week and between to keep them smooth. Not anymore. I tried to grow my hair last 10 years with no results – whichever length grow close to head got broken at the ends. All my photos last 9 years show the same length ca my ear/neck. Last 0.5-1.0 year (after I started using Jamaican Black Castor Shampoo and Conditioner ) is however completely different. My hairs are getting consistently longer and longer – currently just above my shoulder blades, a big difference compared to last 10 years. But… this is not an overnight miracle, not even a one month miracle. It took at least 6 month (if not longer) before I ever noticed any change in my hair and skin condition. With time and patience my hair became very well nourished (complemented by hairdressers), vigorous, shiny and I don’t need relaxer any more -any new growth is of nicely curls. If I don’t straighten with the hot iron they are hanging nicely in thick shiny locks (previously crazy unmanageable afro fizz/mop). I also stopped having a very bad dandruff, now my skin is in very good condition, no more dry, flakey and itchy. I would truly recommend this kit - Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen and Restore Shampoo and Conditioner, but you need to give it time for magic happen.

Great ans simple conditioner
I like the feel of my hair with this conditioner. It's moisturising but doesn't make my hair oily. The smell is amazing, but very strong - so if you don't like strong smells, I've warned you. I love it though! One problem is that the pump was broken when it arrived, so it's difficult to use. Very simple ingredients, does what it says. Ingredients wise there's nothing special, but it's my favourite conditioner of this type! - Don't expect salon results - that usually requires bonding treatments for strength and silicones for shine. My leave in conditioner does this for me and I like to stick to this as my main conditioner for moisture and protection. Seems great for curly and wavy care, though I straighten mine these days.

Weighs my hair down
It makes my hair feel soft but I've noticed after a few uses that it really weighs my hair down. I bought this after reading the reviews and it didn't seem like anyone experienced a loosening and flattening of curls except me. I am an asian female that has just started to find my curls again after several years of straightening my hair. My hair has a mixture of tight and loose curls, maybe 2c hair? But when I use this conditioner it really straightens my curls out. Also I've noticed that when I apply the conditioner, there isn't a lot of slip and I generally don't have tangly hair but with this it tangles in the shower. I won't be buying this product again, I think the product itself is good, smells good and leaves my hair soft but its just too heavy for my hair.

Great product, but do nooooot use it if you have low porosity hair. Your hair will get very dry
