Amazon Essentials Kids Ski Mittens Medium Pink/Grey/Black

Typically I like the stuff that Amazon Essentials puts out so I picked up a pair of these despite no reviews. I purchased the large size figuring they would fit either my 7 year old or 10 year old. They are a just a bit small for my 10 year old (though she said she could wear them), but my 7 year old said they were "perfect" and "so comfy." The quality appears so-so, but for a pair of snow mittens for under $5, I didn't expect the greatest. The warmth doesn't appear to be a problem. They are fleece-lined and cozy. I feel the main issue will be the material.... they don't appear to be as waterproof as higher-end gloves. I think these will be a great option to have around for a back up pair for when the main ones are soaked after hours of play outside, though I don't think they will stay dry enough for the two, 25 minute recesses that my kid gets. I also doubt they'll hold up for more than one season but time will tell. If my opinion on these should change as the snow starts to fall, I'll update my review but since there were no reviews when I purchased these, I thought I'd put something out there.

The description says “kids” but these are running really big. I bought my almost 9 yr old grand daughter a L but they were so big they wouldn’t even stay on her hands! They appear to be closer to an adult woman’s size M. She likes them so she is going to keep them hoping she will grow into them (or mom can wear them) because of the incredible price we got them for.
