Good value, couple of issues
Overall, the AmazonBasics are a good value. You are getting a bright (7 Watt) MR16 that is true to color, at least the Daylight version. Dimming was good, not great. But, there were a couple of things I wanted to point out: 1) If you have transparent fixtures, these will not illuminate through the fixture body/sides. The light only emits out of the end surface of the enclosed LED covering. It depends on your fixture, but in my fixtures, the unit recesses such that only about 1/4 inch of the end of the fixture illuminates. This does not affect the illuminated area performance, it only affects the way the fixture looks in the room. 2) The LED lamps run hot. 7W LEDs still need a heat sink, and these lamp have a minimal sink. After you leave them on for 20 minutes, you cannot remove them and touch them. I measured the running ambient temp using my Fluke to be about 175 degrees F. That is slightly cooler than the comparable Halogen which exceed 200 deg F in my case. I would expect a 7W LED lamp to have a larger/heavier heat sink, but perhaps that is a trade off for the value price point which we appreciate. I do not think it would be correct to say that these lamps run cool.

Two bad bulbs and amazon made good. These can only dim to about 15% which is still too bright. My only complaint

Bulb Flickers
I bought this to replace my lights that were slowly burning out. This is really bright and seems to work fine and dim correctly. My bulb does flicker from time to time and was told by an amazon representative that it's normal for this to happen. I've never had an issue with my previous bulbs flickering, but was surprised this was a known issue. Brought down my review's stars due to this annoying issue, especially since my son is trying to do home schooling and that distracts him.

Warranty is M.I.A.
The media could not be loaded. I bought a 6 pack to put above my stove. I have 4 sockets. Within a year I have replaced 2 of the four bulbs. They say they have a 3 yr warranty. I went back to my purchase to get the warranty info. The page is blank. ????. The lights over all seemed decent. They have a pretty loud humm.

Easy installation, bright light
These are very good bulbs. I took them because I was looking for the ones which could dim as well. Out of all the options that i was looking for, i took a risk on these and i am happy with my choice. They're bright enough to light up my hall and i dim them when I watch tv. They're as easy to install as any other bulbs and hence a good choice. They also come in a pack of 6 which is the exact quantity i was looking for. An overall good product.

Dimmer feature is suspect
The lights do not dim very much and when on full power they flicker and are far too bright

I had them installed and working within minutes of opening the box
Brightness together with angle of coverage works perfectly in my kitchen and back hallway which have 9ft ceilings. I notice the light is closer to daylight colour than the yellowish halogens they replace. I guess that will require an adjustment period, but there will be no going back once that’s done. During the install it was noticeable that they felt solid and well made, lighter in weight than the halogen and being non-ceramic there was less worry about accidentally dropping one and creating a mess of broken glass on the kitchen floor.

Super bright
These bulbs are the ultimate replacement build , they are super bright and easy to install, super fast shipping , will be buying more .

Over 2 years later, these are still going strong in my kitchen!
I bought these over 2 years ago to replace some cheap no-name brands that all failed in just 3 months. The cheaper, no-name brand from China all went dim to half-brightness, or started flickering on and off, or just outright failed to turn on after only 3 months in the kitchen. However, I've installed these Amazon Basic brand in my kitchen overhead lighting and these are still just as bright and flicker-free now as the day I installed them. I'm really, really happy with them .
