Must have for weapon armorer.
As an armorer this light is perfect for weapon inspections and working in small spaces. Not so bright to cause glare and extremely easy to use. I keep one in my armorer’s bag and at my tool bench at all times. First light I grab when working at the bench every time!

Fantastic High Quality Flash Light
Fits perfectly in a shirt pocket and is very lightweight. The flashlight hood concentrates the beam to a narrow area and is the brightest setting. Remove the hood and you get a wide expanse of light but dimmer. The AAAA batteries also seem to last a long time. The construction quality is excellent. Amazon also carries AAAA batteries.

Batteries Can Last a Lot Longer If You Do This !
I’ve used these pen lights almost exclusively for many years. Med people think they’re a little too bright, while others would like them brighter. But their best attribute is how handy they are. Triple AAA flashlights just are just a little thick for my pockets. These 4 AAAA units are far slimmer and almost like a ballpoint pen. But one of the little known secrets of 3 battery flashlights is that when the light gets weak, in nearly all cases, only one of the 3 batteries need replacing. Yes ,of the three 1.5 volt batteries, the weakest one will drain far faster than the other two, leaving a dim light while 2 of the batteries have a lot of life left. Just toss the mostly depleted one (usually the one closest to the switch) and put a new one closest to the bulb to restore brightness. I use an amp meter to check the voltage when dim. Usually the best 2 batteries will be at about 1.3 volts and the one causing the problem will be under 1 volt. Adding a fresh battery at the bulb end brings the unit back to nearly full brightness (although they can be in any order, it just helps me to know that the freshest battery is always on the bulb end). If you don’t have a meter or don’t know how to use one, replacing one battery at a time and checking the brightness can yield the same results. Most people throw away all 3 batteries not knowing that (usually) only one is depleted and causing the problem. The 4AAAA batteries are a little pricey for what you get and I enjoy getting all I can out of them. Maybe this trick will work for you. I use it on all multi battery flashlights. Good luck!

Great gift for the ladies in your family too!
I have had one of these for 20 years. I love it...compact and slim....looks like a pen. My wife and daughter really loved them...no really. They can keep them in a purse or jacket. Very hand in a lights out situation. Some people akinda rolled their nose at mine over the years and then would ask to "borrow" it a week later...Lol

Best $14 I ever spent!
First, I've found all LED lights that make outragous claims of average battery life of dozens to hundreds of hours is either misleading or totally wrong... no matter what brand or where you bought them from. They either go totally dark in much less than half the rated time, or have gone too dim to even read large print with the light pressed closely to the page. To even get close to half the rated life, skip the alkalines, you must use expensive lithium or the highest capacity NiMi rechargables available on the planet. So they all lie about or misrepresent your actual battery life. I'm sure some of them, if you put the most expensive batteries in the world in them, run the light almost to their rated battery life, if you take them into a fully darkend room, & hold the light to your face, strain your eyes, you will find the LEDs are still glowing very faintly... but that's not useful light. I haven't found AAAA rechargables or lithiums, but you won't need them. This is the only LED light I ever found that doesn't give you bull on battery life. It uses a single LED & 3 AAAA alkaline batteries that can be obtained cheap from many sources. Slightly longer than an oridinary pen, I take it everywhere, & is always with me at work. As an engineer, I've used it several times daily for over 6 months with the original batteries. I thought it might be getting a little dimmer so recently put fresh batteries in it. Although it got brighter, not significantly, so I put the old batteries back in. This light just won't die. Lot's brighter than any keychain light, it's as useful as most big lights. It fell 14' from a ladder onto solid concrete, into puddles, snow, & got paint & glue on it. Using harsh chemicals & scraping to get all the paint & glue off, it still looks & works like brand new. I don't know what they used to paint that light with, but there's not a scatch on it anywhere... no dents yet either. Solid & durable. Your best light will be the one that works when you need it to, & is close at hand. Best $14 I ever spent! Update: AAAA Batteries can be found right here at amazon. Just type AAAA or streamlight in the search box. The streamlight AAAA 6-pack runs $6-$7 & are really alkaline energizers. Also if you tear off the metal around a "copper top" alkaline 9 volt battery with a couple of pliers you'll find 6 aaaa batteries inside. But beware... the AAAAs inside the 9 volt battery have the polarity reversed! So you must put those in your light BACKWARDS. You should also stretch the light's spring out a little for a tight fit & better contact. This won't effect it if you go back to ordinary batteries, just make sure to get the polarity right.

Impressive light. Must have EDC.
I’ve been using this regularly for at work for a couple months now. I’m still using the original batteries. I keep it in my shirt pocket with another pen. No problems, I love it. would definitely buy again.

An excellent pocket flash light
I do industrial electrical work. I carry one in my shirt pocket almost always. I also carry a back up in my small toolbag. This light comes with a plastic sleeve that slides over the light end. It directs the beam but also insulates the end 1 inch from lower voltage electricity. You should not put this light into an energised electrical cabinet as it is made from aluminum. There are two versions; one is for use in class 1 div 1 atmospheres and the other is conventional. They look identical but the conventional light cannot be used in industrial environments. I have carried at least one for years and consider it an essential personal protective device

Leuchtzauberstab

Not as described
Not what I wanted. I needed a pen light for my practicum. This is what popped up when I was searching for a "pupil penlight" this light is in fact way too bright to shine in the eyes. I'm sure it's great for other things but for me it's useless.

Excellent light
I have used the penlight for about 20 years , I used it in my job when i was a technician at a GM dealership . It was very handy when working under the dash when no light was available and could be held in the teeth , Many technicians had one . I am never without mine , its always clipped in my pant pocket, , I had a few but they were old so updated .
